Carlton serves Consumer Product Strategy Professionals. He leads a research and consulting team that helps Forrester clients profitably launch and manage consumer products and services while adapting to disruptive market forces. As a Forrester analyst in the past, Carlton specialized in emerging markets, channels, products, and technology in healthcare. Carlton is an established expert and sought-after speaker on these subjects, and his research and opinions are regularly quoted in the media.


Previous Work Experience

Prior to taking over the consumer product strategy practice, Carlton was vice president and research director for Forrester's customer intelligence practice from 2008 to 2010 and a Forrester analyst from 2006 to 2008. Prior to joining Forrester, Carlton spent nine years as an IT and eBusiness practitioner in the health insurance industry.


Education

Carlton holds a B.S. in civil engineering management from the University of Vermont.
