Vivek has over 20 years of pre-sales and service delivery experience of large IT infrastructure projects. He is the author of two Cisco Press publications on Advanced MPLS design, and Optical network design and implementation. He has extensive experience in cloud computing, data centers, virtualization, unified communications, IT services, operations and program management.

His career has spanned continents and he was responsible for implementing the world’s first Service Provider MPLS network for AT&T; Latin America in Colombia, back in 1999. He has also implemented large US Department of Defense networks in the Middle East and across Europe. Vivek has a proven track record of conceptualizing, developing, and implementing successful IT strategies to improve business processes, decrease costs, reduce risk, increase availability and maximize performance of large enterprise, government, military and service provider IT infrastructures.

His expertise covers Service Provider Network “Cloud” and Data Center “Cloud” technologies. He was responsible for moving the first US Government Agency to Public Cloud and has developed several reference architectures for private cloud platforms, right from infrastructure to automated provisioning, workflows and integration with OSS and BSS.

He currently drives the Dimension Data Professional Services portfolio that includes Data Center and Cloud technology consulting, Enterprise architecture consulting, ITSM consulting, IT strategy and governance consulting, Project management and Team empowerment that is critical to Dimension Data’s services business.
