K Vikram currently leads HP Software in India. He is a 13-year veteran of HP, joining the company by way of a series of acquisitions involving Tandem, Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), and Compaq. Prior to his current assignment, he led the Commercial Key Market Team. Under Vikram’s leadership, market share for business-critical servers, industry-standard servers, and HP Storage Works grew steadily. Before that he served as associate director of Technology Services, a high-margin business unit that contributes the majority of HP Enterprise Business profit. In this position, Vikram drove marketing programs, tactical campaigns, and sales and business programs for the service portfolio, achieving significant order growth and improvements in margins. Before that, he was regional head in Karnataka, meeting and exceeding revenue targets for Enterprise Business products, services, and software in the region and transitioning the Compaq business and sales groups into HP. And prior to that he led Compaq’s integration with DEC, worked as a sector manager in banking and energy for WIPRO, and held the position of senior sales manager for Fujitsu in Bombay. Vikram has an engineering degree from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science in Pilani and a master’s degree in management from Mumbai University. |
