Masami Kashiwagi is the Research Manager for Springboard Japan and is responsible for overseeing all of Springboard’s research programs in the Japanese market. Masami is also responsible for managing and growing Springboard's research operations in Japan.

Masami has over 10 years experience in the IT research and consulting industry. She has previously worked with IDC for over six years as a Senior Market Analyst for IT Services market. In her later stint as Market Intelligence Manager at American Power Conversion, (APC), she was responsible for research analysis and reporting on macro economy and industry trends, competitive landscape and brand awareness. Earlier on, Masami advised Japanese businesses on IT adoption as a Management Consultant with Price Waterhouse Consultants (now renamed as IBM Business Consulting Services).

Masami holds an MBA and a Masters degree in International Economics. She is a native Japanese speaker and is also fluent in English. She has lived in five different cities – Boston, New York, Washington DC, Brighton (UK), and Tokyo in the past 15 years. Masami is currently settled in Tokyo, Japan.
