Recognized as one of the top Internet and IT industry analysts in Asia Pacific, John has 20 years of experience in the field. In his role as a Vice President at Springboard, he manages Springboard’s end-user research as well as being in charge of research focused on the Australia & New Zealand markets.

Prior to joining Springboard, he was a co-founder of Hydrasight, a leading analyst firm in the Asia/Pacific region that Springboard acquired in 2010. Prior to founding Hydrasight, John spent five years as a Senior Vice President with global IT research firm META Group. Earlier in his career, John was the global lead analyst fora leading Australian stock broking firm, JB Were & Son, as well as a media marketing firm, Empire Ridge.

In his work, John has advised a range of Global 2000 organisations as diverse as the Australian and Singapore Departments of Defence, Centrelink, BHP Billiton, Shell, Bank Negara Malaysia, Johnson and Johnson, Coles Myer, Barclays Bank, McGraw Hill, McKinsey, OUB Bank, Proctor and Gamble, Cadbury Schweppes, Warner Music Group and Singapore Health.

John excels in developing innovative research in the areas of enterprise content management, case management, document and records management, portals, business-to-business e-commerce, business-to-consumer e-commerce, online publishing, personalisation, workflow, business intelligence, content intelligence, process integration enterprise collaboration, digital asset management, and digital rights management. He is regularly invited to speak at industry events and is often quoted in the press in Asia and around the globe.
